Day 1
:
Orientation started off with the REAL Fun Camp Theme Song. This was followed by the making of the first handicraft which was the ‘Paper Mache Coin Box’. Children got to choose which animal they wanted to make. For example, a cow, beaver or rooster. There was then a break for breakfast. The children had sausages with white bread. Soon after was the ‘Character Building on Orderliness’. The definition was ‘Arranging myself and my surroundings to achieve greater efficiency’. Lunchtime then commenced claypot chicken rice was served. After lunch, the children played “Big Foot Relay” which was the first telematch. They enjoyed this game so much that several rounds were played. The children then took a short break before having their tea break. On the menu was red bean soup with ‘bahulu’ cake. And before the day ended, we had a short, ‘story time’ session whereby we all shared our Day 1 programmes and asked the children how they felt.

Day 2
:
Again started with the singing of the theme song. The children enjoyed it as they were each given a pair of pom-poms to sing & dance along with. The children were then treated to white chocolate, which they were required to shape into cartoon characters. These include the likes of Tweety Bird, Garfield & Winnie the Pooh.
It was then time for breakfast. The children were treated to a sumptuous ‘American Breakfast’, which consisted of baked beans, hash browns & cocktails sausages. Next was the second round of telematch dubbed the ‘Spoon Water Relay’. The children were first divided into two teams. Each team was then given a large serving spoon, one bucket and one jar. The bucket of water & jar were placed at opposite ends. The first child had to take the spoon, scoop water from the bucket with it and pour the water into the jar. He/she then had to run back to the starting line, place the spoon back into the bucket and ‘tap’ the next person to repeat the whole process. At the end of the match, the team with the most water in the jar wins!
After all the fun & sweat, it was time for food again. This time the children had fried noodles for lunch. The first cookery lesson was to make fruit kebabs. The ingredients were grapes, papayas, marshmallows & chocolates. Each child had to slide pieces of fruit & marshmallows onto a skewer and dip them into melted chocolates. The next Character Building was on ‘Enthusiasm’, which is defined as ‘Expressing joy in each task as I give it my best effort’. Everyone then had ‘cekodok’ and barley water for tea. Before going home, the children sang the theme song again.

Day 3
:
This was our field trip day. We departed for Denai Alam Riding Club (DARC) at around 8.15 a.m. All of us were very excited. Upon arriving, we were treated to egg sandwiches and bananas with Milo drinks. Soon after, we were brought to feed the horses carrots. Yes, horses love CARROTS! We were then briefed on the ways to groom a horse. The purpose of this trip was to enable each child to ride on a pony. We then broke for lunch. After lunch, a pony was brought onto the stage. The children were told of the different body parts of the animal. Then, it was games time! Children were divided into teams from different centres. The first game was to look for pebble stones (as many as possible within one minute) that were hidden inside horse food. The team with the most stones wins. The second game was to throw horse shoes into a basket. The team with the most ‘shoes’ in their basket wins. REAL Kids Klang with a few children from REAL Kids Kemuning Green Hill won the second game. After the games, everyone proceeded to find good seats to watch the finale for this trip which was the horse & fire show by crew members of DARC.
Day 4
:
Today was the last day of our Fun Camp. We starting it excitedly by singing our theme song. There was then cake & Milo for breakfast. The children soon got their hands dirty as they had to paint their respective coin boxes. Up next was fun in the pool, where the teachers joined the children in playing ‘throw & catch’ with inflatable balls. After all the wet fun & excitement, everyone broke off for lunch. This time the children were treated to a delectable serving of sweet & sour fish fillets with white rice and ABC soup (made up of carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, onions & chicken). After lunch, the teachers conducted Character Building on ‘Diligence’. The definition for ‘Diligence’ is ‘Investing my time and energy to complete each task assigned to me’. Throughout the lessons on Character Building, each child was given worksheets to do. As the lesson was being conducted and the children were busy doing the worksheets, we got our materials & ingredients ready for the last cookery lesson. Here the children got to make peanut butter & cornflakes chocolate cups. The ingredients were peanut butter, cornflakes & chocolates (melted). We first mixed all the ingredients together. Then, each child had to fill the cupcake holders with the ingredients to bring home. Before ending our camp, we had a tea break and it was party time! The children had fried nuggets, French fries & grape juice with ‘cincau’ jelly. Each child was duly given a little party pack and we concluded the day with our Fun Camp theme song and bid each other goodbye.
