A Discovery Indeed 12 August 2006 - KL

The Real Eye-Q Discovery 2006 is a community project that has been designed to promote the concept of experiential learning with an emphasis on starting right. Only when this is done can its participants embark on a journey of continuous active learning to ensure that the desired performance benchmarks in their life are fulfilled and constantly enhanced. It is an ‘expedition’ in every sense of the word for the child and his/her parents to discover how he/she is smart and in the process work towards becoming a person who has a vibrant combination of dynamic interpersonal skills, individual creativity, problem-solving skills and leadership qualities to do well in life. This discovery event is open to all children between the ages of five (5) and seven (7).

How did the Real Eye-Q Discovery 2006 come about?

This event has been adapted from a national level competition that was previously known as The National M.I. (Multiple Intelligence) Challenge (held in 2003 and 2004).

It has been redesigned as a community project instead of a competition to consciously move away from the ‘competitive’ mode, which would inevitably tax the young participants physically as well as emotionally. Through a ‘discovery’ mode, the concept of experiential learning and the importance of finding out how a child is smart would be more effectively presented.

Why was this event developed and organised?

The objective of this discovery is to promote the concept of the development of the total child, particularly in light of an increasingly competitive global marketplace. It is our fervent hope that this event would encourage parents to play an active role in the development of R.E.A.L (Result Enhancing through Active Learning) intelligences in their children.
